The NALSWD is a coalition of law students dedicated to disability advocacy and the achievement of equal access, inclusion, diversity and non-discrimination in legal education and in the legal profession. The future success of NALSWD, which aims to support the growing number of law students with disabilities by providing mentors, studying and survival tips for law school and career advice for the legal profession, depends on the active participation by disabled law students.
Coming Up...
While you are in DC for the conference, be sure to participate in the 4th Annual IMPACT Career Fair, on Friday, August 15, at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel. Law firms and public sector employers will be interviewing law students and lawyers with disabilities from the Classes of 2010 and earlier. Deadline to register is Friday, July 11, 2008. http://www.law.arizona.edu/Career/Impact/welcome.cfm
While NALSWD welcomes input from everyone, our conference is intended
to be a safe and open space for disabled law students and recent law
school graduates. If you are neither but you would like to be involved
in the organization, please contact us at nalswd.attendees@gmail.com.
