About the Conference
We are thrilled to be holding NALSWD's 8th Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD this year and are excited to bring together the nation's top lawyers, judges, and legal scholars with disabilities to speak on issues affecting law students with disabilities. The goal of NALSWD's annual conference is to provide current and prospective law students with disabilities an invaluable opportunity to connect with practicing attorneys with disabilities, hear from various disability rights experts and policy makers, and discuss issues facing the disability community in law school and the legal profession.
We will kick off the annual conference event with a special Welcome Reception the evening of Friday November 20th in Baltimore, MD. On the following morning, after breakfast and registration starting at 8:15am, Saturday will feature a series of panels on different topics relevant to law students with disabilities, including bar exam and LSAT accommodations, employment and disability disclosure, disability barriers to the legal profession, mentorship and networking, and career opportunities in the private and public sectors. A keynote address will cap off official business on Saturday at 5pm, followed by a Networking Reception with light refreshments.
