History
At the end of January 2007, the ABA's individual rights and obligations section helped to create the nalswd to identify problem areas for law students with disabilities and to create a platform for the national organisation. The initial planning session, attended by more than ten law schools, developed into a national network of more than купить квартиру без посредников в Алматы twenty law schools. So far, we have set up various committees and ratified the written constitution and charter of the organisation. We try to encourage dialogue about the recruitment process, advise on overcoming obstacles while studying at the Faculty of law and offer various career options. We will also create peer mentoring programs, bringing together law students and lawyers with disabilities.
Through our cooperation with the ABA's Department of individual rights and obligations, we raise awareness and protect the rights of people with disabilities in the legal profession. The impact of our national student organization on the recruitment, training and mentoring of law students with disabilities will directly benefit the legal community.
Our first fall conference was held in San Francisco in September 2007 and we elected a national board. We are very excited about the future of our organization.
